Well, it's been quite a while since I've posted. Life has a way of taking you down roads that were unanticipated; the key is to find something to appreciate in the change of perspective.
Looking at the UFOs listed in an old post caught me by surprise. I actually DID complete a few things in the last few years:
Pumpkin Flannel Quilt (Girls Night Out class) is now titled Morgan's Pumpkin Quilt. My October-born granddaughter loves all things fall and ended up with this one. I had to quilt her name in one of the blocks to "make it so."
Maison de Noelle (Feathered Star) was completed and is beautiful. We've hung it at Christmas the last couple of years.
New York Beauties/Sharp Pointies (Door Mouse class) hangs over our headboard. Despite a number of challenges in getting if done (finally!), I enjoy it every day when I see it.
Quilt Camp Fall Pineapple (Second Sister Quilt Camp) is out year-round. While the colors didn't come out they way I thought they would, I love it. It definitely makes a statement about purple and gold!
So much of my quilting life stagnated over the last few years, but now I'm ready to consider how to go on. I've been reading Pat Sloan's UFO Buster postings and I think a first step is to reduce the quilting baggage I have in my sewing room. Many of those UFOs were technique classes or "freebies" that just didn't click for me. Time to make room for fresh air and the next bend in the road.
